One morning when I woke up, I saw it was dark outside and raining very heavily. The clock was stuck at 7 am. I was late for school so I hurried to the washroom to get ready. But when I entered the washroom, I slipped and hurt my legs. Still, I managed to get ready as fast as possible. when I went down to have my breakfast and take my tiffin I saw it was not ready. Thus I hurried into my mother’s room to call her so that she could make the food quickly to my surprise I saw her just waking up and I got very angry and came out without listening to what she was telling me. Then when I came to the spot from where I catch my van, I saw that the place was empty and no other student of our van was there and was completely taken aback by the thought of missing the van.

It was raining hard and all the roads were water clogged. So I thought of taking a rickshaw to reach school. But when I asked him the rate he replied that the rate was Rs.40 which was double the amount I usually pay for going to my school. But still managing I caught the rickshaw as I thought that there was a very important class test and I did not want to miss it. Due to water clogged roads, the rickshaw puller was not able to pull the rickshaw properly and so this made me all the more nervous but all my nervousness vanished when I looked up the sky to see the most beautiful thing a ‘rainbow’ glittering with all its seven colours and the and the colours was so soothing that it calmed my mind.

But suddenly the rickshaw stopped ad my attention was shifted towards it. I saw that there was an accident. A bike and a cycle had fallen down. Men were shouting and fighting with each other. But luckily there was an accident. A bike and a cycle had fallen down. Men were shouting and fighting with each other. But luckily there was a short-cut way to my school. So, I told the rickshaw puller to take the rickshaw from there and after a few minutes, I reached school. I gave money to him and took my bag to enter the school premises.

But when I turned I saw the school gate was closed although I reached my school on time. So, I went to the other gate and the watchmen of our school gate were sitting there. When I was entering, the watchman being shocked seeing me stopped me. Then I told him that I was still not late and also asked him that why the school was so empty. Then he replied to me that it was Sunday and I had unnecessarily come to the school. I shocked as I was thinking it to be Monday till then. So, I took out my diary to confirm what he was saying and he proved to be right. It was actually a very funny situation for me to be in and I will never forget the rainy day all my life.
